On October 10th, we gathered at Curate for the ATP Fall Social event, marking the beginning of ATP's 25th anniversary celebrations and the kickoff to our highly anticipated Annual Awards Gala!   With close to 200 attendees, the evening was filled with energy, excitement, and connection as we came together to celebrate ATP’s remarkable journey over the past quarter century. This year, we have an impressive total of 103 nominees participating for the ATP Annual Awards Gala & Casino Night, highlighting the outstanding talent and innovation within our community.   A special thank you to our incredible Fall Social Co-Chairs, Scott Harris, Principal at Insight Edge Partners, and Stephen Spitulski, VP of Sales and Partner Success at Build Technology Group, who played a crucial role in the organization of the evening.   We are also deeply grateful to our sponsors. Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a reminder to listen to our bodies and prioritize our health. The pandemic brought many challenges for professionals everywhere. For women in technology like Monica Moore, CTO at Alogent, life got even more complex when she and her son, Oliver, were diagnosed with two different types of cancer on the same day in 2021. Imagine the tension of being a mother, a caretaker, and a patient all at once. Despite the hardships, Monica chose to carry on with work and home life as normally as possible, encouraging her son—a Junior at the University of Georgia—to do the same. With their resilience and support from a strong community of medical professionals, they successfully completed treatments and are now in remission. Four years later, Monica reflects on her journey and the lessons she’s learned: • Listen to the Signs from Your Body: " Schedules, commitments, and dependencies can drive people to ignore signs from their bodies. They might postpone or skip doctor appointments and follow-ups due to.” • Every Small Gesture Helps: "One of the most amazing realizations during my journey was how even the smallest interactions made a difference. I now strive to help, encourage, and support others going through their own journeys." • Gratitude is Powerful: “Like many people, I found my perspective on life changed. I have developed a greater appreciation for the small, everyday moments and learned to cherish time with loved ones, nature, and simple pleasures that bring joy and peace".   Today, Monica is back to leading Alogent’s technical vision and product development while being an advocate for health awareness.
