Hispanic heritage is everything for me. It is a reflection of what my family stands for and what I believe in. It's community, pride, unity, and strength and ultimately, it’s what has led me to be the best version of myself both at home and at work. ✨What aspects of your culture are you most proud of, and how do you incorporate them into your daily life or work? Aspects of my culture that I am most proud of include family traditions, cultural traditions, resilience, creativity, and hard work. By integrating these aspects into daily personal and professional routines, I feel as though I can enrich my life and contribute positively to my environment, embracing my heritage while making meaningful impacts. ✨What advice would you give to the next generation of Hispanic professionals? Embrace your identity, pursue continuous learning, and build a strong network of mentors, peers, and industry leaders. Always seek out and create opportunities to learn and grow - do not wait for opportunities to come to you, be prepared to advocate for your own achievements and ambitions while also supporting and uplifting others around you, and strive for a healthy balance between work and personal life. By staying true to your values, continuously developing your skills, and actively engaging with your community, you can make a meaningful impact in your professional life and beyond.

A true team of heroes! A|P properties in Atlanta, including Morningside Courts, Sloan Square, The Atlantic Loring Heights, The Atlantic Aerotropolis, and The Atlantic Ashford, are taking part in The Food-A-Thon tomorrow! The Food-A-Thon is an annual initiative and community service project hosted by the Atlanta Apartment Association and its members. Each year, AAA's Food-A-Thon donates millions of meals to help feed Georgia's hungry. Growing Bigger, Growing Better and always doing good! @AtlantaApartmentAssociation

Today, for #HispanicHeritageMonth, we are highlighting Geovanny Briones, Assistant Manager at The Atlantic Palms at Tradition ✨What does your Hispanic heritage mean to you, and how has it shaped your personal or professional life? Hispanic heritage to me means amazing food, music, and family time. I was born in Brooklyn, New York, but my heritage comes from Ecuador. My Ecuadorian heritage – visiting and seeing how close my family is there, has shaped me into becoming very family oriented. ✨What aspects of your culture are you most proud of, and how do you incorporate them into your daily life or work? I am very proud of the food, art, and geography that comes from my culture. I see my culture everywhere that I go. Just last month, I visited an art museum that included an Ecuadorian artist. At work I have shared with prospects stories from some of my adventures to Ecuador. I have even cooked Ceviche, an Ecuadorian-style dish, for my team. ✨What advice would you give to the next generation of Hispanic professionals? Share your experiences of your heritage when the opportunity presents itself. Your unique experiences can provide connection and inspire those around you. This will create a memory for prospects and residents to bond with and feel they have made an amazing choice in a place to call home.

Florida Regional Manager Matthew Armstrong was A|P’s brand ambassador at the 2024 Commercial Real Estate Symposium.
