Climate change is worsening health challenges globally. Direct health damage costs could reach $2-4 billion annually by 2030, comparable to the GDP of small countries like Bhutan (WHO, 2018). An additional 1.4 million zero-dose children are expected by 2040 due to displacement and migration (WHO, 2018). In response, #INFUSE is empowering innovators to transform immunisation! Meet the four INFUSE 2024 pacesetters tackling these urgent challenges🥁: 🗺️ Atlas AI (🇺🇸): Geospatial AI to understand societal changes and guide health investments. 🩺 Causal Foundry (🇪🇸): AI-driven interventions for personalized digital health. 🌡️ Figorr (🇳🇬): Real-time cold chain monitoring for temperature-sensitive vaccines. 🔋 SIGNALYTIC (🇺🇬): Renewable energy powered, digital health data solution for remote clinics. Which of these solutions does your region need to build health resilience in the face of climate change? Want to learn more? Global Head of Commercial Banking Sustainability at HSBC and Non-Executive Director at HSBC Latin America
It's fantastic to that share we’ve taken our #partnership with Google Cloud to the next level. Climate tech startups in the Google Cloud Ready – Sustainability (GCRS) ecosystem in the US and UK can now have access to HSBC products and services tailored to founders’ specific growth ambitions. Big welcome to Atlas AI as the first GCRS company to benefit from this. This builds on the support we can offer these companies, including venture debt. We’re also holding networking events for them and working on a directory of ESG service providers that could offer our clients solutions to help them #transition to net zero. Huge thanks to Justin Keeble and the team at Google Cloud. Delighted to be supporting climate tech pioneers who will help us get to net zero – together! #innovation #neweconomy #climatetech #netzero
HSBC is pleased to announce the latest development in its partnership with Google Cloud to offer #Banking support for #Climate tech companies in the Google Cloud Ready – Sustainability (GCRS) programme. GCRS is a validation programme for companies with solutions available on Google Cloud that help customers achieve sustainability goals. As part of this collaboration, companies in the GCRS ecosystem can now gain access to HSBC products and services that are tailored to founders’ specific growth ambitions, in the US and UK. The latest collaboration builds on the launch in February of a partnership between the two companies through which GCRS companies can be introduced to HSBC’s specialist climate tech finance team to explore banking support including venture debt. We are pleased to welcome Atlas AI – a geospatial AI platform providing insights into environmental, social and economic changes – as the first company to benefit from this. To help support these climate tech companies to scale up and our clients to transition, we’re also aiming to connect our customers to relevant GCRS companies through events, and to create a directory of ESG service providers who could offer our clients solutions to help them transition to net zero. HSBC is seeking to deepen its support for the #ClimateTech ecosystem and this initiative follows our announcement in 2023 to make available $1bn of financing to early-stage climate tech companies. Today we finance a number of industries that significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. We have a strategy to help our customers to reduce their emissions and to reduce our own.
