    Brown Forman has an annual cocktail competition named "Best of Bourbon." This competition highlights Woodford Reserve and Old Forester Bourbons. Keith C, Mark A. Mentzel, Ayang Dori, and Donovan Kollmar qualified for four out of sixty trips to Kentucky that were available during the competition. They all received a three-day bourbon immersion experience hosted by Brown Forman. Read more about their experience by Keith, our regional bar manager. "On our first day in Louisville, we were greeted by the Master Distillers of Woodford Reserve & Old Forester at North of Bourbon. North of Bourbon was recently ranked in the New York Times 50 best restaurants in the US. We enjoyed many libations and amazing cuisine. On the second day, we ventured to the Brown Forman Cooperage where bourbon barrels are hand made. Then, we were whisked to the Woodford Reserve Distillery, which resides deep within Kentucky horse country. At Woodford Reserve, the Master Distiller, Elizabeth McCall, gave us a walking tour and history of Kentucky bourbon, specifically centered around Woodford Reserve/Brown Forman. During the tour, we sampled whiskey straight from the barrel while walking through one of the barrel warehouses. The following day, we toured the Old Forester Distillery located in downtown Louisville from Master Taster Melissa Rift. The team participated in a blending class in which we were able to make our own special blend of Old Forester and take it home. From there, we concluded our immersive whiskey experience."
