About us
The story of Atlas begins with a quarter-life crisis and a one-way flight to Bali, Indonesia. I was living in Manhattan -- feeling inspired by the people I met, but drained by the environment. Each bar and restaurant was louder than the next. There, somehow, wasn't a quiet, inviting place to have thoughtful conversations. That's when I started cooking for friends in my apartment. Just six to start. With a new menu each time. And slowly, my apartment was filled with light. With fresh herbs. Wine glasses. And people who make me laugh so hard my collarbone hurts. A few months later, I was bringing together 30 people at a time for dinner. The rules were simple: no phones, no talking about work, and no sitting next to someone you've already met. These dinners started something so simple, yet so fulfilling. A moment where time freezes. Where new and old friends are holding back laughter. Where you feel a spark of inspiration from someone you just met. I booked a one-way flight to Bali with a loose idea of solo traveling and cooking for the people I'd meet in each new location. My world opened in ways I never knew existed. Each dinner surpassed my wildest dreams — above rice paddies in Indonesia, in vineyards in Northern Italy, while sailing throughout Tahiti & Bora Bora, in art galleries in Lisbon, Croatia, Hawaii, and more. Above all, the dinners created something I hadn’t expected — they created a community — in seven countries for 1000+ people who've helped change my life, and each others.
