I just saw something truly mind blowing. The Atom Touch is the world’s first prosthetic arm with individual finger control. It’s entirely non-invasive and it’s all controlled by your mind and muscles. Why is this a big deal? The Amputee Coalition estimates that 5.6 million people in the US are living with limb loss or limb difference. Other prosthetic arms available today are made up of separate elbow, wrist and hand components from different manufacturers, but Atom Touch is a whole arm. The battery and computer are located in the forearm. Jason Morris lost his arm in a work accident 12 years ago and kindly showed me what it’s like to put on and wear the arm. “It's a satisfaction that you just can't explain,” he said. I also got to try it out for myself, which you can see more of in the video below. Atom Limbs CNET article: https://lnkd.in/gH7x72Xk YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gyggqZs2
