  • If you are on the leadership team of a technology company in Austin- make your plans now for the 2024 C-Suite Summit and Industry Think Tank on October 28th from 1:00 - 6:00 PM. We are hosting this half day event at St. Edwards University. The opening keynote speaker is Razat Gaurav , CEO at Planview. Be sure someone from your team is registered so that your organization can have their voice as part of the conversation. This event is a new version of the ATC’s “CEO Summit” that dates back over 15 years. We have taken the feedback from the community and created this event to make sure our tech leaders / entrepreneurs are having the conversations that help mold the future of our community. When local leaders show up and join in the conversation - we all win.

  • Today was the ATC September “roundtable breakfast”. Thanks to Knobbe Martens for sponsoring this event… And for Mauricio Uribe for a great presentation. The Austin Technology Council is a 32-year-old organization… And our charge is to be an “ecosystem builder” and to bring the community together through education, networking, and advocacy. When leaders in the tech community all show up together… and have conversations— Great things can happen. We are grassroots organization, and therefore we need YOU and the leaders in your company to lend their voice to our conversations! Thanks to everyone who showed up and participated in today’s event. We look forward to seeing you all next time. #austin #austintechnology #austintexas #austintech

  • Leadership is about more than just holding a title or making decisions—it’s about being intentional in how we engage with the people around us. Whether it's within your company, across your industry, or with vendors and clients, intentional leadership shapes the culture and success of any organization or community.   I recently had the opportunity to be the keynote speaker at a partner meeting for a law firm that truly embodies this idea of being intentional. They were a remarkable example of intentional leadership, focusing on community, collaboration, and meaningful relationships. What stood out to me is how they don’t just talk about these values—they actively live them. They celebrate their lawyers who lead with purpose, put client needs first, and align the firm’s growth with the well-being of their communities.   This type of intentional leadership isn’t just for service firms; we should all strive for it. It’s about being thoughtful and deliberate in how we present ourselves and how we show up for others. Real leaders don’t just act like leaders - or proclaim their status as leaders - they consistently lead by example within their organizations and the broader community.   As we work to continue building Austin’s tech ecosystem, I want to know who in our community stands out as an intentional leader? Who is driving their business forward while fostering meaningful connections and community growth?   Let’s recognize and learn from those who are leading with intention. Share with me the leaders you see making a difference in Austin tech! If I get enough responses, I will highlight these amazing people in a future newsletter. (This is from this week's ATC Newsletter.....are you subscribed?) #AustinTechnology #AustinTech #Austin #Leadership

  • Last night ATC and Angelou Ecomonics hosted a happy hour to welcome 15 delegates from Tampere, Finland who are visiting Austin. What was expected to be a small gathering of our tech community became over 100 people who represented Austin’s eclectic tech scene. People came early and stayed late. The happy hour was proof that when our community comes together, great things happen. The energy in the room was electric, filled with genuine conversations and new connections. It's a reminder that showing up, engaging, and collaborating is where the magic happens for us all. Our next event is the Austrin Technology Council September Roundtable Breakfast on the 17th at Calavista Software. Sign up now at the ATC website! #austintech #austin #leaders #community
