We are happy to announce that we have just received our second patent from the US Patents Office. This patent focuses on microgrids powering distributed data centers and the GPU chips inside. Now, we can convert the energy created at the microgrid into a mini data center. This means that we can now license and work with the microgrid community to convert their power to compute, and make microgrid communities a lot more money :) Why sell back to the grid when you can convert the energy to compute and sell it for 100x the price? https://lnkd.in/e7m3_MVm

It's great to hear Eric Schmidt make our case. The biggest challenges to adopting AI are the lack of energy and the insecurities of the public grid system. Even with nuclear fusion, there is not enough transmission lines to support distribution. Therefore, distributed energy, microgrids, and distributed data centers are the only path forward. Starting at minute 16, just listen to how he articulates the issue. However, he does not recognize the threats to the grid simultaneously. I went to the Washington Post Climate Summit yesterday and met some interesting folks. It was clear that Ava is needed in the market. Grids are such a bottleneck, and people keep just talking around it. I found an African Fund manager, Africa Climate Ventures, who was talking about the merging of solar and compute. We became best buddies quickly! Hopefully, we can bring distributed data centers to help in their growth. Thanks to all those who participated. Datacenters are a massive business. Blackrock and Microsoft just signing a deal to fund $100B to build out. The bottleneck will be grid systems! We are proud to announce our Notice of Allowance for our novel patent, which allows distributed energy to power GPUs. Ava is the first device to allow users to convert their solar energy into computer power, which can then be sold for much more than selling it back to the grid. AI is consuming way more energy than anticipated and the grid system can only take so much. The trade-offs will mean less energy and resources to homeowners and businesses. This is what Ava Energy is solving. Distributed energy with distributed data centers reduces energy demands on the grids and allows people to consume their own data without a need to send it to a data center per se.
