Let's embark on an inspiring journey with Kalaiarasi Ramachandran, an IT professional turned entrepreneur, artist, weaver, and founder of ‘Raatai,’ a portable handloom studio. She was born into a family with a rich tradition of handloom weaving in the weaving heartland of Kavindapadi village, Erode district, Tamil Nadu. Following her destiny, she did an MCA and worked as a mobile application developer in Chennai. Life came full circle, and she found herself concerned by the challenges faced by her community. Determined to bring a positive change in their lives, she launched "Raatai," an initiative to support and uplift the weaving community by democratising handloom weaving through portable handlooms. Kalaiarasi is wearing a white Jamdani cotton saree with floral motifs and a contrasting plain blue border from Avantra. We're grateful to be a part of such an inspiring woman's story. She inspires us to be a go-getter!

Rachana Mahadimane—an architect, a slow-fashion enthusiast, and a plein air painter—takes us on a unique journey of art and inspiration. Her interest in painting began in her hometown, Mysuru, a place steeped in rich history and architecture. Inspired by the nostalgia of heritage buildings, she found her calling. Her paintings are often an ode to the charm of a bygone era. Rachana enjoys the challenging yet gratifying experience of plein-air painting. Being a part of the environment enables her to feel the vibe of the place and express it through her art. Rachana is wearing a Purple Ikat cotton saree with a check and stripe pattern from Avantra. We bring to you the inspiring journey of Akhila Krishnamurthy - a writer, journalist, public speaker and entrepreneur. She had a successful career in journalism for 15 years where she worked with leading national publications in editorial roles, when she was drawn to the field of performing arts. Understanding the gaps and wanting to contribute in a meaningful way, she founded Aalap, a boutique arts management company that works with classical artists from across the world. Successfully juggling multiple roles in her life, she is also a proud mother, TEDx speaker, winner of Femina’s Original Idea of the Year award, and Woman Entrepreneur of the Year at CII’s Startpreneurs. Akhila is wearing a traditional handloom, Gajji pure silk, hand-block printed Ajrukh saree from Avantra.
