We would like to welcome Jarrod Neumann to the team as Associate Director of Development North America. Jarrod is focused on developing world-class surf parks for Aventuur in the United States, creating integrated destinations with a Wavegarden Cove as the cornerstone of the ecosystem. Prior to joining Aventuur, Jarrod was a Development Manager in New England, managing projects in multiple states across a wide range of asset classes. Jarrod also worked as part of TPG Hotels and Resorts’ asset management team, covering a portfolio of 75 branded boutique hotels. Jarrod is a professional lacrosse player for Team USA, and for the Carolina Chaos as part of the Premier Lacrosse League. Jarrod is passionate about golf, health and wellness, cooking and travelling, and has recently started his surfing journey. We’re excited to have him on board – welcome Jarrod!

During a recent visit to Aotearoa, New Zealand Olympic surfer Billy Stairmand chaperoned MicroSurfAcademy founder Glenn “Micro” Hall and our Director of Surf and Sustainability Adrian "Ace" Buchan on a strike mission to the North Island’s East Coast. Together the trio scored playful cold-water peaks and reconnected over a shared love of riding waves and passing on the gift of surfing to the next generation. Our Wavegarden Bays offer open-face and white-water waves up to half a meter high, with rides lasting between 14-18 seconds. These waves are ideal for newcomers providing a safe and controlled environment for them to enjoy surfing.
