The Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on Avera's new Home Medical Equipment and Planet Heart building. Attendees were able to tour the new space and learn how we're improving the lives of our patients, families and the communities we serve. The new building is located on 69th Street and Mogen Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Congratulations to the five Avera Health hospitals that were named 5-star facilities by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). A rating of five stars is the highest a hospital can receive on the CMS Care Compare website, which helps consumers compare hospitals based on patient experience and quality of care data. Out of 2,800+ hospitals that were rated, only 381 received a 5-star rating. Congratulations to Dalten Bremer, a senior nursing student at the University of South Dakota, for being selected as an Avera Sponsorship recipient! 💚 This summer, Dalten gained valuable experience with our partner, Freeman Regional Health. After graduation, Dalten has committed to three years of employment with Avera— and we are excited to see the impact he’ll make in rural health care.

Today, Avera teamed up with the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses for Ag Appreciation Day at the Sioux Empire Fair. 🌾 Volunteers welcomed thousands of farmers and their families and provided information about the Farm and Rural Stress Hotline. The outstanding team at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center has been recognized as a Diamond Quality program by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) for their dedication to surgical excellence and high standards of patient care. As part of the Avera Foundation's Avera Cares campaign, employees gave more than $7.5 million to help patients and coworkers with critical needs, medical assistance, equipment and projects across our region.
