  • Can I be honest? Your relationship with money is complex. You know what you should be doing, but you’re stuck. You know how to create a budget, but the thought of adding up your Amazon purchases or your food delivery bill paralyzes you. You have created a budget, faced the truth that you should eat out less, but Postmates is easy and keeps calling you. You make good money, but there still doesn’t seem to be enough to save. You know you’re responsible for your financial future, but it’s so overwhelming you don’t know where to start. What you need goes beyond the budget, life insurance, financial plan, estate plan, or tax strategy that I can provide. You need someone to give you proven strategies to change your money beliefs for good. Join Emily Shull Behavioral Money Coach and Founder of memyselfandmoney.com for an eye-opening discussion. She will help you understand the unconscious patterns that drive your money decisions and give you proven strategies to breakthrough them ONCE AND FOR ALL! • Money is energy. As a business owner, Paying your team Paying for software Paying wise advisors Paying a fitness coach Should make you happy as it’s an investment in your business’s evolution and your personal growth. Are you paying for something that brings you a sinking feeling every time you get a notification or review the statement? Do you ask yourself, “why am I still paying for this?” The energy is off. You are no longer receiving a benefit from it. It’s time to find a better solution or remove it from your life. As we begin a new year remember this You are the one wielding the energy like a lightsaber. • Who doesn't love a good challenge? Are you ready for an exciting challenge that could revolutionize your spending habits? I’ve teamed up with a client to embark on a “No Eat-Out January” journey, and I’m inviting you to join us! Here’s the deal: 1️⃣ Say No to Eating Out: This January, we’re cutting out all food delivery and restaurant visits (yes, that includes your favorite coffee spot!). 2️⃣ Grocery Glamour: Your kitchen is your new best friend. All meals are home-cooked with ingredients from the grocery store. If you don’t like cooking, grab semi-prepared meals, hire a chef, or use a meal delivery kit. Be sure to pick up your favorite snack foods! 3️⃣ Freebies Allowed: If someone treats you to a meal, go for it! But no swiping your card. 4️⃣ Track Your Triumphs: Use my “No Spend” calendar to monitor your daily victories. If you slip, jot down how much you spent. 5️⃣ Compare and Conquer: Calculate your average spend on eating out from October and November (my average is $480). Calculate your average grocery bill for the same months. Then, compare it to your total food spend at the end of January. 6️⃣ Savings Success: Take the difference and boost your emergency fund by putting it in a high-yield savings account or use it to pay down debt. Ready to take on the challenge and jumpstart your 2024 financial goals? Comment "No Spend", and I'll send you the tracking calendar. We will also have weekly virtual check-ins. #nospend #challenge #newyearnewgoals #newyear2024 #budgeting #savings #savingmoney #money

  • Here's a little secret for you as a business owner: every trip can be a chance to grow your business and... guess what? Save some money while you're at it. Yep, even during those relaxing getaways! Let’s dive into how you can make your Christmas trip tax deductible. Picture it…you’re headed to sunny Miami for Christmas ❓ What’s the deal with business travel? If you're mainly on business for more than half of your trip, cha-ching, your entire flight cost can be deducted. But, if business takes up less than half of your trip, then the flight cannot be deducted. ❓ And what about hotels, AirBnbs, and meals? It’s simple! Just figure out the percentage of your trip spent on business and apply the percentage to these expenses. That’s what you can deduct. I know what you're thinking, theory is great but how do I actually make this happen? Here are 4 pro tips: 1️⃣ Travel on Business Days: For example, Christmas is on a Monday this year. Why not fly out on Thursday, Dec 21st, and come back on Tuesday, Dec 26th? As long as your travel days are business-focused, the IRS won’t mind how you spend your weekend. When you book-end travel on business days and engage in qualifying business activity, it’s easier to make the trip tax deductible! 2️⃣ Find Business Activities at Your Destination: Grab lunch or dinner with a business contact. Explore potential business sites or investment properties. Interested in solar energy tax credits? Hunt down some solar-powered properties and snap some pics! Remember, these activities should fit your unique business profile. 3️⃣ Attend a Workshop or Conference: Ever noticed how many conferences are in places like Vegas, Miami, or LA? They're not just fun cities; they're tax write-off magnets for business owners! 4️⃣ Networking Events: Check out Eventbrite or Meetup for industry-related gatherings at your destination. So, where are you off to this holiday season, and how will you write off the trip? Let me know in the comments. ------------------------------------------------------------------ #money #holidaytravel #holidays #taxes #businessowner #smallbusiness
