Brandie Richards, one of AVIAN's Human Resource Specialists, recently received a Certificate of Appreciation for her remarkable achievements and contributions. Her proactive approach, continuous learning, and exceptional performance set a high standard for all HR professionals. ✨ In September 2023, Brandie made a significant career transition from the insurance industry to Human Resources by joining AVIAN. At the time, AVIAN was in the midst of its Benefits Open Enrollment, a critical period for the company. Brandie quickly adapted, dedicating herself to learning all aspects of AVIAN's benefits plans. 👏 Brandie's responsibilities grew rapidly as she took over the administration of FMLA and COBRA, ensuring the company remained in full compliance with all regulations. When AVIAN decided to offer Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Brandie stepped up to fully administer this new benefit. Like much of the world, we caught the Olympic fever this summer and hosted our own version of the summer games 🌞🏅 Five teams, made up of members of our corporate team, competed for victory in a series of events. Each team was themed in one of the five Olympic colors and donned coordinated costumes, boasted creative team names and of course, a team anthem. Teams competed in several challenges such as cantaloupe throws, minute to win it games, inflatable costume relay races, chair races, head basketball, and more! Afterwards, we celebrated with a cookout and a surprise visit from Kona Ice 🚚 A big congratulations to the Yellow Jackets for coming in first place winning gold, followed by the Smurfmandos in second earning silver, and The Killer Tomatoes in third picking up bronze. 🎉👏 #olympics #workawesome #theavianway

The 2024 Airborne Mine Countermeasure (AMCM) Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) Working Group was held in Orlando at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort July 8-12, 2024. The five-day event was facilitated by a nine-person team from the AVIAN Panama City Beach (PCB) office. Ms. Vicky Perkins, AVIAN Senior Director and AMCM Program Manager displayed the true fashion of “Adapt and Overcome” as she successfully led her team from planning to execution, to post event out briefs. ✨ Mr. Allen Hawkins, AMCM Subject Matter Expert and the reigning Godfather of the platform, shared his decades of experience as he orchestrated and delivered a compelling brief on the history and growth of the AMCM program at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD). 🌐 Beverley Walterson, Kirsten Burke, Trent Watkins, Cole Pilcher, Bruce Boyle, Charles Cutts and Darla Bellomy managed details as they related to their area of expertise, which lead to the overall success of the event. Coordination included videos, “Step and Repeat” custom backdrop, AMCM logos, flags, posters, notebooks, cups, AMCM trivia, etc. The AVIAN PCB Team ROCKED! 🎊 The event was attended by 45 United States Navy (USN) from 11 commands, 67 federal civilian members from 14 commands, and 26 defense contractor personnel from 5 different companies. 🇺🇸 In the spirit of camaraderie, the AVIAN PCB Team organized a cornhole tournament on Wednesday evening on the pool deck. The tournament garnered good will amongst commands while raising over $1,000.00 for Lucky Puppy Rescue, a charitable organization very close to the hearts of AVIAN PCB as well as many at NSWC PCD. 🐶 A big thank you to all of the amazing AVIAN team members from the Panama City Beach office for orchestrating this successful event! 🎉 #workawesome #theavianway
