Today is an important day on two fronts - it's World Mental Health Day and it's also World Homeless Day, and Avivo's programs are playing an important role in both topics. For #WorldHomelessDay, join us in celebrating the people and communities proving that homelessness is solvable. Today, we’re inviting you to attend a special screening of “Keep showing up,” featuring the powerful work of a fellow Built for Zero community in their journey to end homelessness from 12-1 p.m.: https://bit.ly/3BwKXJq Learn more about Avivo's ending homelessness programs at https://lnkd.in/gfwuF7PT For #WorldMentalHealthDay we're highlighting the programs Avivo offers, such as our Mental Health Clinic, to provide mental health services to those in need. Thank you to our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Team at Avivo for putting on an amazing all-staff event last week focused on allyship! We had an amazing keynote speaker, Kao Kalia Yang, who shared her personal experience as a Hmong-American and as an author, sharing her and her family's deeply personal stories. We honored some of the many Avivo staff who honor our values of a Radical Welcome, Absolute Dignity, and Leaning into Curiosity. We had a panel discussion on allyship led by 10 Avivo staff, and moderated and introduced by two more amazing staff. Then we finished with breakout sessions allowing staff to get to know each other, learn new skills, and more.
