For over 70 years, A.W. Oakes & Son, Inc. has been providing high quality earthwork construction services. Our equipment fleet is always kept up to date ensuring critical time schedules are adhered to. Our maintenance shop employs experienced mechanics to keep our fleet in prime condition. Our field people are highly trained in CPR and First Aid, Competent Person Training, MSHA/OSHA, Landfill Facility Management, Power Line Safety, and Hazardous Materials Training (HAZMAT) as well as other courses. A.W. Oakes & Son, Inc. has dedicated personnel to ensure an accurate final product with a philosophy of 'Do It Right The First Time.'

Many large boulders were discovered during excavation operations of A.W. Oakes’ Lovers Lane reconstruction project with the Wisconsin DOT in Franklin, WI. In partnership with the Milwaukee County Zoo , A.W. Oakes and Oakes Transport have donated these boulders to the Zoo to be cleaned and repurposed in their animal enclosures and around the Zoo. A.W. Oakes is committed to the communities we work in and are proud to have helped the Zoo and all our furry friends!

Project complete! Hammes Field at Case High School in Racine, WI. Complete demolition and reconstruction for a new turf football field, running track and new softball fields. A.W. Oakes crews performed the demolition, excavation, grading, underground utilities, concrete slip formed field curb, and on-site concrete crushing. Great work by all the crews.
