Meet Haley Munson and Skyler Munson, our first (and possibly only) twin member spotlight. These sisters are not just a remarkable duo, they are also colleagues at Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD), one of AWWEE’s newest unlimited organizational members! Haley, the Water Efficiency Coordinator at EVMWD, is a mastermind behind water-saving programs and workshops, while also supporting upcoming regulations and community outreach. Skyler, an Executive Assistant, juggles a multitude of tasks, from supporting various departments to managing grants. Haley and Skyler both thrive on the dynamic nature of their roles and the chance to make a difference every day at EVMWD. A standout achievement for these twin trailblazers is their leadership role with Women in Water for the Inland Empire. When the original organizers needed to pass the baton in 2020, Haley and Skyler leapt at the chance and have since grown the group to an impressive 500+ members! Their dedication has been nothing short of inspiring. Since joining AWWEE in 2021, Haley and Skyler have been enthusiastic participants in our events, including the eagerly anticipated 2024 Conference (and yes, you can join them there!). They’re huge fans of the learning and networking opportunities AWWEE provides and have shared a special memory with us: “Our most unforgettable AWWEE moment happened even before we became official members! Back in 2021, as leads of Women in Water IE, we had the honor of co-hosting with AWWEE. We were new to AWWEE at the time, but after connecting with Meghan and the team, we collaborated on one of the most impactful Path to Power sessions ever. The feedback was amazing, and it was a fantastic chance to merge two organizations with a shared mission. That experience solidified our desire to work closely with AWWEE, and we’ve been thrilled to be members ever since!” When they’re not working, Haley and Skyler are inseparable, enjoying doing activities such as hiking, practicing yoga, baking, and cheering on their favorite hockey team, the Anaheim Ducks. #AWWEE #AWWEECommunity #AWWEEMemberMonday
