About us
Bladder and bowel leaks are common in adult women, but they should not be considered "normal." Axena Health is a women-led company dedicated to improving the lives of women with pelvic floor disorders and is unapologetically focused on helping them live their best lives by harnessing the power of digital technology. Axena's Leva® Pelvic Health System helps women train and strengthen their pelvic floor muscles—at home, in just five minutes a day—to treat their stress, mixed and mild-to-moderate-urgency urinary incontinence (including overactive bladder) and chronic fecal incontinence. The Leva system’s patented mechanism of action is distinguished by published clinical evidence, peer-reviewed research and excellence in patient support. As a digital prescription therapeutic, the Leva system supports the critical partnership between clinicians and patients, shining a light on this important and underserved area of women’s health. The Leva® Pelvic Health System is available by prescription only. Do not use the Leva system while pregnant, or if you think you may be pregnant, unless authorized by your prescriber. Please talk to your prescriber to see if the Leva system is right for you. For more information about the Leva system, please visit www.levatherapy.com.

Today at #PFDWeek, researchers from the Massachusetts General Hospital and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with our chief medical officer Dr. Samantha (Mandy) Pulliam, presented a model for predicting a woman’s success with first-line treatment for incontinence. The predictive model could help clinicians personalize incontinence treatment and identify the women most likely to need advanced treatment. We're grateful to the researchers for their dedication to improving the standard of care for female incontinence. We've also enjoyed seeing colleagues and friends at the American Urogynecologic Society's annual meeting, #PFDWeek24 #incontinence #personalizedmedicine #machinelearning #nomoreleaks https://lnkd.in/eDtBQZPs

Easy, at-home treatment for female incontinence is available via telehealth! Visit www.levarx.com to meet with a clinician who will evaluate symptoms and prescribe the Leva Pelvic Health System if it can be helpful. Women are busy. Work and family demands can be barriers to medical appointments. It's also becoming increasingly difficult to find providers. Many have long wait lists. In fact, half of U.S. women skipped a preventive care service in 2022. One of the most common reasons: difficulty scheduling an appointment. We're diligently focused on improving women's access to first-line incontinence treatment. Part of that commitment means eliminating barriers to care. We introduced our telehealth option this summer, and invite women with incontinence to explore it. Living with incontinence is hard. Accessing effective treatment shouldn't be. #bladderleaks #getrelief #telehealth #hometreatment #PFDWeek24 www.levarx.com

Nearly every professional medical society for women's health recommends screening adult women for incontinence. It's a progressive disorder. Without treatment, it will typically get worse over time. This published infographic conveniently packages the evidence-based treatment pathway for female incontinence, which may positively impact patient knowledge and certainty about UI treatment while also supporting clinician counseling and decision-making. We're loving the excitment of this year's PFD Week. If you're attending, please stop by booth #611. We'd love to say hello. #PFDWeek24 #incontinence #treatment #screening https://lnkd.in/gUC3yDYR

58% of women who give birth vaginally experience pelvic floor damage. Strenthening a weak pelvic floor following injury is essential to aging well and maintaining good health. Better awareness is key. Our chief medical officer Samantha (Mandy) Pulliam sat down with First for Women's Courtney Shapiro to talk about the risks of a weak pelvic floor and what to do about it--hint, Leva (which our followers know isn't a "wearable" vaginal wand!). We're at #PFDWeek24 this week. Please come visit us at booth #611. American Urogynecologic Society #PFDWeek24 #pelvicfloorhealth #womenshealth https://lnkd.in/gQVCrKwX

Today is #WorldMenopauseDay. The menopause is a profound period of transition for women. Regrettably, there's only a single awareness day—at least for now! As most menopause-age women know, bladder leakage (urinary incontinence) is one of its many symptoms, but it often gets overshadowed by some of the more common menopause symptoms like hot flashes and mood swings. However, this symptom can be resolved for many with the Leva System, an at-home, drug- and surgery-free treatment for urinary and fecal incontinence. Leva can help lessen the impact of menopause when it comes to UI. Thanks to Dr. Jen Gunter for sharing her “best of” content related to managing menopause symptoms. It’s plentiful, and perhaps someday, menopause awareness will occupy a week (or a month!) so more women can benefit from her excellent guidance. #menopause #womenshealth #pelvicfloorhealth #womenshealthmatters https://lnkd.in/gsNb_-US
