In October I want to showcase Axens's AxSorb 920 material. AxSorb 920 is an excellent product for drying and purification of both gas and liquids like solvents, specialities and chemicals. It is used in drying operations and TBC removal from monomers such as butadiene, isoprene and styrene. TBC (tertiary butyl catechol) is commonly used as a polymerization inhibitor added to monomers to inhibit polymerization during storage and transportation. The removal of inhibitors is necessary prior to polymerization processes, as is the case of synthetic rubber production. AxSorb 920 has also proven its effectiveness in commercial butyl rubber installations for the drying of methylchloride. If you want more information then please feel free to send me a direct message, or send an email to rb@dftechniek.nl
