We were fortunate to have Hubert Śliwiński as our Accounting & Admin Intern this summer! With his technical talent and keen eye for detail, he created a Master Workbook in Excel, which will be utilized for data analysis of past & current projects. Hubert, thank you for being a part of our team. We wish you the best of luck in your senior year at Cornerstone University!
As this year's Summer came to an end, so did my internship, during which I was given an incredible opportunity to become a part of the Accounting and Administration team at Axis Automation. Throughout the internship, I learned a lot about the inner workings of the manufacturing industry and how accounting, administrative, and technological knowledge apply to it. I was included in a wide array of responsibilities and processes such as: - Master Workbook Development - I was put in charge of developing the Excel Master Workbook whose purpose was to allow for ease of compiling and analyzing data about 700+ past and current projects. I also had to ensure that the system allows for adding an increasing number of new projects and presents the collected data in different ways, each benefiting a different department of the company. - Payroll Processing - I was responsible for processing weekly and biweekly payroll data using ADP and Global Shop Solutions software programs. - Monthly Reconciliation – I was assisting in the monthly reconciliation processes which required great attention to detail and an understanding of the company’s internal processes and accounting practices. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to become a part of Axis Automation and would like to say thank you to Jamie Patton, Paige Lacy, and everyone else involved for the warm welcome and all the support they have provided me with throughout the whole experience. The friendly atmosphere and management’s trust in my skills allowed me to learn a lot about myself and my future career. All of this combined provided me with the best internship experience I could ask for.
