As water/wastewater professionals, much of our work involves operating, maintaining, designing, and constructing projects that are hidden underground or secured away behind fences, often taking years to complete. In this process, it can be challenging to feel the immediate gratification and recognition that we strive for. Mentors play a crucial role in recognizing when their mentees need reassurance and validation to stay motivated in their careers. If you're eager to enhance your soft skills to become a more effective mentor, we invite you to join us at this enthralling learning exchange “The Young Professionals Committee Presents: Building Your Personal Board of Directors” at the AZ Water 97th Annual Conference. AZ Water Association reposted this
AZ Water Association is at the #WaterMatters fly-in in DC this week to discuss the vast needs of the water sector, including investment in water infrastructure, compliance with federal regulations, PFAS, cybersecurity, and sustainable water supplies. The Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act was a significant federal commitment to water infrastructure, but continued federal support and additional funding is necessary for utilities to meet the growing demands on their infrastructure and water supply and maintain customer affordability.
