We’re proud to announce a long-term agreement with Wabash Valley Resources (WVR), a leader in low-carbon ammonia fertilizer production, to supply advanced technology services and solutions to support their Clean Ammonia Production Project in Indiana, US. The agreement will utilize leading-edge technology to repower and repurpose an existing gasification plant, becoming Indiana’s first ammonia fertilizer plant. It will serve the U.S. Corn Belt and agricultural community by creating a sustainable, reliable supply of domestic, lower-cost fertilizer produced through a zero-carbon-capable process while capturing 1.65 million tons of CO2 per year. “We are excited for this milestone with Wabash Valley Resources to advance geological carbon capture and storage technology in the United States. Compressors are a key link in the energy value chain. They also have a role to play in the energy transition by helping to reduce emissions. But first, what is a compressor anyway? Compressors are large mechanical devices that use either rotational force or piston movement to increase the pressure acting on a gas and decrease its volume as a result. They play an important role across the entire energy value chain—increasing the efficiency of various processes and ultimately helping to reduce emissions.

The This week we attended the Global Energy Transition Congress and Exhibition (GET) in Milan, Italy which focused on transforming global climate commitments into actionable solutions to accelerate the energy transition. Here are a few takeaways: ✔️ As we work towards a net-zero future, we need to do so in unison with creating an equitable energy landscape. We have made progress: according to a recent 2024 Energy Progress Report (🔗https://lnkd.in/dPp_vP3), today, 91% of people globally have basic access to energy, a significant increase from 78% in 2000. ✔️ During the event, industry, governmental, and institutional thought leaders including Italy’s Minister of Environment and Energy Security, Hon. Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Tony Blair, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, and John F. Kerry, the 68th U.S. Secretary of State, acknowledged that progress is taking place but to ensure it continues at scale, financial and policy incentives must align, and new technology and business models must be embraced. This is key to demonstrating the commercial value of the energy transition. ✔️ Our CEO, Lorenzo Simonelli, noted how the energy transition's pace will differ among countries. He emphasized the importance of bridging the Global North and Global South to achieve energy efficiency and emissions abatement, key enablers for meeting net-zero goals. ✔️ Alessandro Bresciani, SVP of Climate Technology Solutions highlighted how achieving net-zero requires partnership and collaboration, emphasizing the need for investing in infrastructure and for clear, stable regulations to support multi-year investments in climate technologies. ✔️ During the Technical Program, Paola Di Festa and Alessandro Maschietto PhD, shared how nuclear SMRs (Small Modular Reactors) and CO2 emission reduction in data centers can contribute to the energy transition, illustrating how the energy transition requires multiple energy sources and working across a broad ecosystem.
