Recently, Hurricane Helene caused unprecedented, widespread damage across the southeastern U.S. While we can report that our employees and operations have been spared from major damage, communities in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia are dealing with major destruction, and our hearts are with the affected communities. We’re deeply committed to supporting those in need during this difficult time. As one of the signatories of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Methane Guiding Principles, we have articulated a wholistic sustainability strategy to execute our sustainability goals. ✔️ Shared ways we’re advancing sustainability for our customers, showcasing our new energies portfolio and climate technologies like CCUS, hydrogen, geothermal, and abatement solutions, and discussing our life-cycle assessments methodology ✔️ Spoke about our Carbon Out employee engagement program, which enables our global teams across our businesses to identify actions that reduce our direct and indirect emissions footprint- to date with over 1,000 projects in our pipeline ✔️ Stressed the importance of sustainability and diversity in the supply chain, touching on both our commitment to reducing our indirect emissions from purchased goods and services and our robust supplier social responsibility program (SSRP) The time for us to lead and act for integrated climate action is now, requiring creative, open, and unprecedented collaboration for the next frontier.
