CHARMcares platform gets a boost from Civic Innovators: Baltimore Corps’ Civic Innovators program creates opportunities for collaborations between local corporations and city agencies to develop innovative solutions to critical issues. Since 2020, Baltimore Corps has led five CIP projects. Our fifth Civic Innovators project (CIP 5.0) concluded in July. Corporate volunteers from CareFirst, Comcast, T. Rowe Price, and Under Armour partnered with staff from the Mayor’s Office of Equity and Civil Rights and the Baltimore City Health Department to enhance the CHARMcare referral system. The cross-sector collaboration resulted in recommendations to improve user experience & accessibility and increase awareness and participation from local stakeholders. Our corporate partners donated 720 hours to this project, resulting in a cost savings of $70,560 for the City of Baltimore. Civic Innovators is successful due to cross-collaborative partnerships. We are thankful to our partner organizations and their contributions to this project!
