We are thrilled to announce that one of our valued clients, Riemer Family Farms, (RFF) Brodhead, WI, has been awarded a Community First® Accelerate Grant for Small Business from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank) Chicago! 🏆 The Reimer Family Farm is a regenerative and organic farm that produces grass fed beef, pork, and poultry. RFF raises the animals and organic crops, and sells frozen meat and value-added farm items, directly to customers through their on-farm pick up or UPS shipping. With the grant RFF aims to expand their shipping operations and source additional items such as fish and lamb. The Riemer Family Farms dedication, hard work, and innovative spirit exemplify small business owners throughout our Wisconsin communities. This month's Youth Apprenticeship Spotlight goes to Derek Schultz from @ Belleville! This year, Derek participated in the Finance Pathway at The Bank of New Glarus - he works as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) where he helps customers with withdrawals, deposits, and pay loans. "One of the things I have enjoyed the most is how I feel like I learn new things every day and when I need help with something my coworkers are there to help and answer my questions." Derek also takes advantage of numerous job shadow opportunities within his bank, allowing him to explore future avenues. Congrats Derek!! 👏🎉

As a community bank, BNG recognizes that by supporting our local sports programs we invest in the development of future leaders. Student athletes learn valuable lessons both on and off the field, acquiring essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Last evening, BNG had the privilege of attending Green County Development Corporation's (GCDC) annual awards dinner. The event was a celebration of the relentless spirit of entrepreneurship that fuels our communities and ensures Green County's success. BNG is excited to see the dirt moving at the historic Standpipe Point Homes development in Evansville, WI. The home site includes 6 single-family lots and is rich in history. The location is the site of an 80-foot-tall standpipe erected in the 1902 by the Chicago Bridge and Iron Company. The standpipe was erected in response to over demand placed on cisterns located in the city. These reservoirs were used for firefighting and went dry during vast fires that erupted in the city obliterating local business within minutes. The standpipe was filled with water from top to bottom and worked flawlessly in this location during fires because of the hill on which it stands gave it enough pressure to deliver water anywhere in the city within minutes. Four lots remain available in the development.
