Rivergate Tower is an iconic fixture of Tampa’s skyline due to its unique shape, and Creative Loafing Tampa (with JDub's Brewing Company and Channelside Brewing) created a “Beer Can Building Beer” to honor this property in our portfolio. You’ve heard of March Madness, but what about Summer Madness? Every summer, we let our tenants choose the theme of the annual summer tenant event using a bracket to narrow down favorite treats. Across the portfolio, it seems like ice cream is the clear winner! Thanks to everyone who played and came out to enjoy a cup or cone.

Did you know urban beehives have higher winter survival rates and produce 56% more honey than their country cousins? We’re constantly identifying ways to level up the office experience, and our latest initiative with Bee Downtown is generating a lot of buzz with the new hives at Tampa City Center and Rivergate Tower!

Coworking is hot in Miami, and we’re excited to welcome Quest Workspaces to Doral Center, where future coworkers will enjoy a variety of flexible office spaces, a private outdoor rooftop terrace and more. This is Quest and Banyan’s third collaboration with the two executing on Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa locations previously. Since acquiring Doral Center, Banyan has implemented $14 million in strategic capital improvements including: exterior upgrades, landscaping, corridors, restrooms, several rounds of successfully leased spec suites and some of Doral’s only structured parking. More via Commercial Property Executive:

Downtown Tampa will soon see a new name emblazoned atop its most iconic office building! Banyan Street Capital is thrilled to welcome SouthState Bank's regional headquarters to Rivergate Tower in 2025, expanding our relationship with the firm, which also leases space with building signage at Banyan’s 20 North Orange property in downtown Orlando. Welcome to the Riverwalk! Our trophy case is overflowing! This #EarthMonth, we’re excited to share that Tampa City Center has received the BOMA International TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) Award in the “Earth” category, both locally and at Southern Regionals! This recent honor will stand in good company with several other building achievements in this category, including BOMA 360, Fitwell, ARC and LEED & Energy Star Certifications, confirming our commitment to enhancing the internal and external environment for our tenants through green and sustainable programs. Next stop: The BOMA 2024 Internationals later this summer.

From green spaces to rooftops, our office buildings provided the perfect spots for tenants to observe Monday’s rare solar eclipse, complete with viewing glasses for safety and Mini MoonPies for a sweet celebration of this celestial event!  

We’re always looking for opportunities to surprise and delight tenants during the work day; this month, we gave away over 3,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to tenants across our office portfolio in support of this great organization. Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a sweet treat!
