  • WOOD SELECTED FOR BARROW COUNTY CFO ROLE Barrow County Manager Srikanth Yamala announced that Trey Wood has been hired as the county’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Wood has 17 years of accounting and finance experience spanning governmental, enterprise, and proprietary funds. He currently serves as Finance Director for the Madison County Board of Education and previously held similar roles with Jackson County Government and Habersham County Government. “Trey’s diverse background and extensive experience will enhance the capabilities of the finance department, and he will be a tremendous asset to the entire organization,” Yamala said. Wood holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Financial Services from Piedmont College, and a Master’s in Accounting from DeVry University. Wood is also a Certified Public Manager through the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia. “Finance plays a critical role in providing high-quality services and building a safe, sustainable, and dynamic community,” said Wood. “I look forward to being part of the leadership team and continuing to make that happen.” Wood will begin his duties June 10.
