About us
The Investment Management Group (IMG) is a group of talented undergraduate students at Baruch College who manage a portfolio of stocks spanning across a variety of sectors. We seek to provide active members with technical knowledge, financial know-how and leadership abilities by entrusting a considerable degree of responsibility to each team member. We work with students who are passionate about the financial services industry and are looking to take their interest to a new level. The Investment Management Group began at Baruch College in the summer of 2010. Our group caters to students who are looking to launch their career in the financial services industry. We strive to develop our members' abilities and potential to succeed in the professional world by connecting our team members to powerful resources that will help them exceed the highest of employer expectations. Yesterday evening, our Operating Committee had the opportunity to attend the Balyasny Asset Management L.P. University Ideas Dinner hosted by Steve Schurr, Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of Fundamental Equities. Allen Avrakh, Aryan Rahman, Rudolph Merlin, and Daniel Stark represented Baruch College and were joined by Columbia University, NYU, Princeton University, Rutgers University, and the University of Alabama. The team pitched Neurocrine Biosciences (NASDAQ: NBIX) over a five-minute presentation, followed by a five-minute Q&A session alongside the student-managed investment funds. The team gathered thorough feedback on the ideas presented by the judges and concluded with a high-level discussion on markets, industry trends, and Balyasny. We would like to thank Hannah Dinardo, Auriella Demchuk, and the Balyasny team for organizing this memorable event. We are excited about collaborations with our fellow peers and opportunities with Balyasny in the future!

IMG & Baruch Wall Street Club would like to thank everyone who attended our alumni panel event! Our guests - featuring Maksim Rakhman, Wojtek Majerczak, Lile Ruggerio, and Devon Lall - shared priceless insights through personal anecdotes, intuitive commentary, and deep industry knowledge across economic and equity research, capital markets, and leveraged finance. Students participated in Q&A followed by a networking session to learn more about the how Baruch supported their processes in beginning their careers in financial services. Special thank you to the leadership of WSC and IMG in facilitating a memorable event. We are incredibly grateful for the perspectives gathered and look forward to future collaborations.
