Here's some fun facts about Josh: What do you like to do in your spare time? Spend time with my amazing wife and two kids (age 14 and 9), play acoustic guitar, and enjoy the Colorado outdoors. What’s your favorite TV show—the one you’re always watching on repeat? Seinfeld, and there isn't anything wrong with that. You're happiest when... I'm away from the city with friends and family in the mountains or on the beach in Brazil where my wife is from. What is on your wish list for the next 10 years at Basis? I hope to help the firm further develop and grow capabilities in Colorado while holding true to the core values that the firm was founded on. What’s your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for? Hill Climb Racing. Of course I root for our team that has multiple championships. What’s the top destination on your must-visit list? To stand among the giant Sequoias. What is something you've always wanted to do? Learn to fly a helicopter. What three words would your friends use to describe you? Kind, dependable and fun. What advice do you have for kids who are struggling in school? Never be afraid to ask questions and be proud of who you are. If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and why? Man on a Buffalo. Definitely a tie between the 🤦♂️ or 😂 What advice do you have for someone who might be struggling in school? Don’t be ashamed if you are struggling, because we all need help from time to time. The only “stupid” question is the one you don’t ask. Keep at it and ask as many questions as you need to figure out what you need. If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and why? Teddy Roosevelt, because he was a man of so many talents and such a role model. Politician, hunter, rancher, gentleman, conservationist, visionary, etc. What is your greatest fear? That I will pass from this Earth and not have contributed some great thing or created a legacy that continues beyond myself. What is something that you’re really good at? Making people laugh, I just don’t think people realize how funny I actually am… What is your favorite thing to do in the wonderful city of Colorado Springs? Visit the Broadmoor and the surrounding areas. What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? I love history and music, and getting to do things with my hands. Reading and playing guitar, as well as any kind of woodworking, home projects, or gardening are things that recharge me. What fictional place would you most like to visit? Middle Earth, yes, I am a Tolkien Nerd What phobias do you have? Is there a name for when you miss hitting the spider with your shoe and now said spider has disappeared and you just know that spider is plotting its revenge on you? "I hope to get some good experience and exposure to the variety of work I can participate in at Basis, and hopefully get some inspiration for the type of career I want to pursue when I graduate." If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? "Coffee... does that count?" What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? "I've been learning to crochet, and I collect different sizes of rebar when I visit construction sites." What book did you last read?
