🚀 **Empowering the Next Generation of Skilled Trades in Data Centers!** 🌐 Our team had the incredible opportunity to support the second cohort of the Google STAR (Skilled Trades and Readiness) program, with keith Kreisler, NICON Manager, and Nicholas Fisher, Project Manager, of EPC Project Management Consulting, LLC, leading a powerful session on the global impact of data centers. Nick and Keith shared their personal insights, emphasizing the critical role these STAR candidates will play in shaping the future of our industry. Nick, a former Navy Chief responsible for operating nuclear reactors on fast attack submarines, drew parallels between military outreach programs of the past—where recruiters were pivotal in engaging young talent—and Google's innovative approach to growing its fleet of data centers. His experience training future sailors to take the watch when he left the service mirrors the importance of these STAR participants in ensuring the future strength of the data center workforce. 🌟 Our General Contractor Palmetto Tri-Venture—a collaboration between Turner Construction Company TW Construction, and UJAMAA Construction—has been instrumental in driving this effort. Our amazing Raleigh gathered recently for a memorable team-building event that combined great food and even greater fun.
