Meet the Battery Workforce Challenge at Colorado School of Mines Team! 🔋 The team is based in Golden, Colorado, in collaboration with Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado. 🛠️ Their mission is to establish the Colorado School of Mines and Arapahoe Community College as premier automotive engineering institutions and inspire passion in modern energy solutions to create a more prosperous future for all. The team will leverage hands-on experience and the expertise of their partners to educate and diversify the workforce in EV technology. The first year competition has come to an end, and what an incredible opportunity and experience for our team. We took 1st place overall as well as received several distinguished awards: Best Winter Workshop Technical Design Review Presentation Best Competition Final Technical Review Best Cell Characterization Analysis Report: Runner-Up We are so proud of our team and all the hard work they did this past year, and we cannot wait for the next two years. Year one was full of a lot of challenges, growth, and collaboration, and Year Two will offer a place for us to expand even more. Thank you so much to Battery Workforce Challenge, Stellantis, Argonne National Laboratory, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for this opportunity and first year!

Mines and Arapahoe Community College have been chosen to participate in the Battery Workforce Challenge sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and global automaker Stellantis. The The Mines-ACC student team will design, build, test and integrate an advanced EV battery into a future Stellantis vehicle.
