Last year, we provided 50 full Thanksgiving meals to go along with the regular MilitaryShare Food packages that we distributed the day before Thanksgiving. We did this with the help of our team community partners and a great local business, BluSky Restoration Contractors. This year, our food share number of packages has increased to 78 as of last month. We are looking for individual and corporate sponsors to help us acquire turkeys and all the fixings that would go along with the Thanksgiving meal, including dessert. If you or someone you know is willing to sponsor one item, please let us know. Whatever you can provide would be greatly appreciated. We had a joyful day at Palmer Recovery Center and had a special visit from Discovery Behavioral Health & Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery DISCOVERY DELIVERED DONUTS FOR OUR DOWNWARD DOGS 🤣 !! A big shout out and thank you, to Emily Leonardo from Discovery, for stopping by to bless us with coffee and donuts for our veteran community. This is one example of the little pleasures in life that can bring us such joy and contentment! Our friends coming by and continuing to support our veterans and mission. Our yoga participants enjoyed this special treat today, as we gathered in community to reflect on Santosha, or contentment. It is the seemingly small and simplest things, that can bring us the greatest joy. Corine guided us through a slow yoga practice, with a focus on gentle core strengthening and hip opening. The day was filled with abundance and gratitude, as we move into our weekend feeling energetic and positive.
