We believe the public has ideas about protecting our air and we want to hear from you! Comments made to Chair Hurt will be shared with the entire 24-member Board of Directors at monthly Air District Board meetings. Additional Clean Air Talks will be held around the Bay Area.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has fined Marathon Martinez Refinery $5 million for air quality violations—the second largest penalty in the Air District's history. These fines address 59 violations issued between 2018 and 2022, primarily due to improper flaring during the refinery’s shutdown and idling amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of this penalty will be reinvested back into the community, supporting projects aimed at improving air quality and public health. More info: https://lnkd.in/dM-hpAz7
