Last week, #BayClub associates across our 26 clubs had the opportunity to come together at our Annual Meeting—taking place at 1440 Multiversity. It is a special time for over 300 of our team members, friends of the Bay Club, and special guests to connect, reflect, and dream. ⁠We are so grateful for this time we get to spend together and leave feeling inspired and proud of the culture we have created here at the Bay Club.

At Bay Club, it’s all about our people and the journey we’re on together. This month’s special edition of #MarissaTries takes you behind the scenes of Polaris, our Annual Business Meeting, where our team gathered at 1440 Multiversity in the Santa Cruz mountains. Each year, we come together to celebrate our achievements, envision the future, and strengthen our connection as one Bay Club team. On Day 3, we were inspired by talks from Matthew Stevens, President and CEO of #BayClub, and Felix Gernburd, Partner at KKR, who shared insights on #ownershipworks and the future of Bay Club. A special moment came when Joe Dalecio, Chief Customer Officer, was honored with the President’s Award for his leadership and dedication. The day culminated with a powerful closing speech from Matthew, wrapping up the Annual Meeting with a vision that left us energized and excited for what’s to come.

Day 2 of our Annual Meeting was about honoring our past, taking responsibility for today, and paying it forward. We kicked off with an insightful discussion from the founders who built the Bay Club, PRO Club, and helped shape the fitness industry. Leaders in Women's Sports also took the stage, including Leslie Osborne Lewis, co-founder and owner of Bay FC; Kahlil Keys, VP of Partnerships at Bay FC; Jayne Appel Marinelli, a former WNBA player and SVP of Player Relations for the WNBPA (Women’s National Basketball Players Association); and Charlie Johnson, a trailblazer in women's squash for the Bay Club. We also we’re joined with Daniel Denison from Denison Consulting on a deep dive into our culture here. The day ended with an incredible conversation on authentic leadership featuring Tara Montgomery, EVP for Harpo Productions, and Kecia Steelman, President, COO at Ulta Beauty, who serves on the #BayClub board. It was a powerful reminder of how far we've come and where we're headed.

Our focus has always been the people—those who bring passion, energy, and heart to everything we do. It's the individuals across our teams who make the #BayClub so special, creating an environment where everyone from our associates to members feels valued and supported. Their dedication, collaboration, and commitment are the driving forces behind our success and the foundation of our unique culture—so we celebrated them on Day 1 of our Annual Meeting. We're proud of the incredible community we've built together and excited for what's ahead with our amazing people leading the way.
