Today, BBP Partner, David Heath is proud to accompany our client, Aerium, at the British Embassy in Washington, DC. Aerium has been invited to take part in a groundbreaking symposium hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society as part of their Britih-American Collaboration Nexus Series. This event brings together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore global cooperation on AI, establish norms, and discuss the future of next-generation air platforms. This September, BBP’s Partners, Mary Bethea, David Heath, and Sydney Harris, MPP, had the pleasure of collaborating with the NASAO - National Association of State Aviation Officials team and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) to bring the 93rd Annual Convention & Trade Show to life in Pittsburgh, PA— a project nearly a year in the making. This year’s theme, “Preserve Today for a Better Tomorrow,” deeply resonated throughout the event's panels and discussions. Over 30 states and 380 aviation leaders and stakeholders gathered to discuss industry innovations and the bright future ahead. The 5-day event also featured more than 40 exhibitors from across the nation, fostering opportunities for networking, learning, and the exchange of cutting-edge ideas. For those unfamiliar, NASAO represents the state government aviation agencies across the U.S., advocating for a safe, well-developed national aviation system. The annual convention is a key event for professionals to connect, learn, and shape the future of aviation. I had the immense pleasure of working with the incredible America250PA team and the visionary Cassandra Coleman this past weekend in Philadelphia for their National Convening. With over 30 states in attendance, this weekend proved that Pennsylvania is truly leading the way as we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation in 2026. We were joined by remarkable leaders such as Massachusetts Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, Rhode Island Secretary of State Gregg M. Amore, and Pennsylvania’s very own Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr., Office of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, Governor Mark Schweiker, and Governor Edward Rendell. What resonated most with me throughout the weekend was America250PA's unwavering dedication to uplifting the stories of all Pennsylvanians— no matter how big or small. This convening powerfully reminded us that every person, every city, and every state has shaped our nation’s past and future, and that each deserves to have their story told. Beyond that, America250PA inspired other states to follow suit, encouraging them to show their citizens that our collective narrative is stronger when everyone's story is included. I’m beyond excited to see how America250PA continues to shape this monumental moment in history by unearthing the stories that have lead Pennsylvania, and our Nation, to 250 years.

From small regional airports to major hubs, aviation drives innovation, supports infrastructure, and positions Pennsylvania as a key player in global trade. Every flight strengthens our economy, enhances quality of life, and keeps our state connected and competitive. As we celebrate National Aviation Day, it’s crucial that our legislators recognize the indispensable role aviation plays in Pennsylvania’s prosperity. We urge our elected officials to prioritize and advocate for the investments needed to strengthen our airports and aviation infrastructure. Their support is vital to ensuring that Pennsylvania remains a leader in innovation, connectivity, and economic growth.
