From rendering to reality! Construction is on track and quickly taking shape at Radial at MoRA Point in Charlotte. This build-for-rent townhome community in Oakhurst is in development by Beauxwright and Ascent Real Estate Capital, and together with our trusted partner Copper Builders, we’re taking a custom home approach to the rental townhome market. Big news from Greenville, SC: Beauxwright was recently featured in an Upstate Business Journal article announcing our new mixed-use hotel project in the city’s West End. Together with our partners Wintergreen Hospitality and Equip Studio, we’re excited about the property’s role in the extension and growth of downtown Greenville. This four-story development will include 92 guest rooms, an event space, a rooftop terrace and bar, and – importantly in this area of Greenville – plenty of on-site parking. With a ground-floor retail component, this mixed-use property is being designed in close partnership with the local community to ensure it meets the needs and preferences of this eclectic, dynamic city. We're breaking ground (again)! McNeil Court is our newest residential property, and represents our first ground-up development in Greenville, SC. This for-sale townhome community, in partnership with Copper Builders, will include a total of 38 units – 22 duets and 16 quadplexes – and is located in the North Main neighborhood, less than a mile away from the activity in downtown Greenville. Our portfolio residential properties in Charlotte’s Optimist Park community represent a special point of pride for the Beauxwright team. This was true partnership in action, and empowered us to take a creative approach to providing affordable housing opportunities, helping to meet a critical demand in Charlotte. 300 Optimist Park is a 48-unit luxury apartment property. • Our team rezoned the existing property assemblage to create more density, garnering support from the Optimist Park neighborhood and the nonprofit Belmont Community Association, along with unanimous approval from City of Charlotte Council. • As a result, 10% of the units are affordable apartments with rentals below market rate. Parkwood Square is a 59-unit for-sale residential community. • We worked alongside neighborhood leaders, Charlotte City Council, Charlotte’s Housing and Neighborhood Services team and other stakeholders on rezoning efforts. • This collaboration led to the integration of the House Charlotte program, an affordable housing initiative that enabled us to offer 10% of the project’s units at a significant discount to qualified buyers. Amazing food is only part of the reason we’re such fans of Le’s Sandwiches. In Charlotte, a city where family owned restaurants are increasingly hard to find, Le’s has served up its legendary banh mi and Vietnamese cuisine for 20 years now. The husband and wife team of Minh and Le Thi Le Nguyen arrived in Charlotte in the 1970s, in the aftermath of the war in Vietnam. At first, Ms. Nguyen sold banh mi to the city’s Asian markets, then opened a small shop on Central Avenue and operated a food cart. Le’s Sandwiches moved to the Asian Corner Mall in 2004, and is now located just a few yards away in a new building along East Sugar Creek Road near the intersection of North Tryon Street.
