About us

Holonic offers a completely new way for companies to think about, develop, and engage with (engineering) teams.  Traditionally, building an engineering team focuses on finding the best candidates and assembling a multi-skilled team to build a product. At Holonic, we don’t think a team of people with great resumes ensures success. We are focused on process over product. Beyond simply recruiting top candidates for our clients, we train them as teams - focusing on developing communication skills, emotional intelligence, user empathy, and a sense of common purpose using the best practices of psychology, sociology, and group dynamics, as well as the more traditional best practices of product development. By training our teams on soft skills and processes, we are ensuring they have the foundation to work together and succeed regardless of the product. Once these teams go through the Holonic training process, we place them with clients, offering our clients personalized support and development from a wide array of coaches - technical, organizational and psychological - to ensure seamless integration and success. Holonic cares deeply about doing meaningful, innovative work - we choose our clients, looking for alignment in value and think so that together we can develop a new paradigm of teamwork that brings positive change to the organizations we engage with. • Do you know how to tailor your profile to match the job requirements? 🤔 Maybe it’s time to simplify interviews! Did you know that one of the best ways to perform well in an interview is to understand what the company wants to hear? 🎯 Here are some tips to help you do just that: ✅ 1 - Find the Job Description and analyze it. Look for the "must-haves"—these are the essential requirements for the role. Ignore "nice-to-haves" or "a plus" for now. They matter, but your focus should be on what the job demands, not the extras. ✅ 2 - Structure your answers around the must-haves. Think about how you’ll communicate these points in the interview. Be practical, clear, and objective. For example: "I have 6 years of experience in international projects, 5 of which were focused on Ruby on Rails and React." Using numbers makes your experience tangible and aligned with what recruiters look for. ✅ 3 - Now, check the additional skills. Only mention additional qualifications if you actually have them! For example, if AWS knowledge is a plus and you have experience/certifications, briefly mention it. If you don’t, don’t bring it up—it’s not a requirement. ✅ 4 - Finally, research the company! Read about the company in the Job Description, understand what they do, and prepare relevant questions. Also, check their website and LinkedIn to gather more insights. This will help you add context to your answers and show real interest in the opportunity. What about you? Any other great tips for nailing an interview? • The remote work paradox: flexibility vs focus 🧠 Working from home is fantastic… until the neighbor starts drilling the wall 💭 One of the best things about remote work is the freedom to take breaks. Grabbing a snack, putting laundry in the machine, or having a quick chat with a friend feels great. But here’s the catch. Every little distraction—checking a notification, answering a quick call, or stepping away for "just a second"—can completely derail productivity. Ever noticed how it takes time to regain focus after an interruption? 🤯 When this becomes routine, flexibility turns into a string of micro-disruptions that make deep work nearly impossible. ➡️ A great way to stay on track is the Pomodoro Technique: It works by setting structured work intervals with short breaks in between. The secret is treating these time blocks as sacred focus time, where interruptions are off-limits. Noise-canceling headphones and setting "Do not disturb" on your phone can also help. Flexibility is a game changer, but even it needs some structure to truly work. How do you handle distractions while working remotely? 💬 #RemoteWork #ProductivityHacks #WorkFromAnywhere

NVIDIA is training robots in simulation that accelerates physics by 10,000x. To put the number in perspective, the robots undergo 1 year of intense training in a virtual “dojo”, but take only ~50 minutes on one GPU card. The neural net then transfers zero-shot to the real world without finetuning. Project: https://lnkd.in/gQ5Xt9xk ↓ Are you an AI developer? • When you feel stressed at work, what do you do? 💭 This is one of the key questions we at Holonic—and many other interviewers—frequently ask. Knowing how to manage stress and pressure at work is a game-changer. It’s not just about handling difficult situations; it’s about staying focused, resilient, and productive even when the heat is on. Your response to stress can set you apart as someone who knows how to thrive under challenging circumstances. But what are the most common answers we hear? Most people mention activities that take them away from their screens, like going to the gym, taking a walk, spending time with family, napping, or even reading a book. And what does this tell us? That sometimes, all you need is 10 minutes away from the computer and the stressful context to reset, refocus, and regain your productivity. Here are three suggestions inspired by what we’ve observed in interviews to help you navigate stressful moments at work: 1️⃣ 🌲🚶♂️➡️ Step away for a walk: a short walk outdoors can clear your mind, reduce stress, and spark creativity. You don’t need to spend hours—just stepping away from your current environment for a change of scenery can shift your focus and help you escape the pressure. 2️⃣ 🫁 💨 Take a deep breathing break: Spend a few minutes practicing deep breathing or mindfulness exercises. These can calm your nerves and help you approach challenges with a clearer perspective. Some candidates mention that simply pausing, sitting outside, and focusing on their breathing and surroundings makes a world of difference in reducing stress. 3️⃣ ☕ 👍 Change your focus temporarily: switch gears for 10-15 minutes by engaging in something unrelated to work—whether it’s stretching or even grabbing a coffee. That special coffee moment where you pause everything to savor your drink? It goes beyond enjoying a delicious cup; it serves as a way to shift your focus from stress to relaxation. How do you manage stress or pressure at work? Share your strategies in the comments! Let’s exchange ideas to help each other succeed. 💡 #WorkLifeBalance #StressManagement #Holonic

  • Sometimes the obvious needs to be said 💡 Have you ever held back from saying something because it felt "too obvious"? You're not alone. In fast-paced workplaces where assumptions often replace conversations, it's easy to overlook the importance of clarity. But here's the truth: what feels obvious to you might not even register for someone else. According to a survey by Robert Half, 33% of human resources managers identified a lack of open, honest communication as the primary factor negatively impacting employee morale. Communication isn't just a "nice-to-have"—it's the backbone of productivity, trust, and collaboration. To bridge the gap and communicate effectively, here are 3 tips for assertive communication, with examples tailored to the tech industry: 1️⃣ Be clear and direct 🏹 Avoid jargon unless you're certain your audience understands it. For example, instead of saying, "We need to deploy the container ASAP," say, "Let's deploy the application using Docker by the end of today." Clarity reduces misunderstandings, especially in cross-functional teams. 2️⃣ Check for understanding 🤔 After explaining a solution, confirm everyone is on the same page. For instance, during a sprint planning meeting, you might say, "Does everyone understand the requirements for this feature? Could someone summarize the key steps we’ll take?" This ensures alignment and avoids rework later. 3️⃣ Adapt to your audience 🌍 Tailor your message based on who you're speaking to. For example, when talking to a non-technical stakeholder, avoid overly technical terms like "API endpoints" and instead explain, "This will allow systems to exchange data automatically." Adjusting your language builds trust and ensures understanding. 💬 What’s your go-to tip for clear communication? Let’s share and learn in the comments! #CommunicationSkills #TechLeadership #Assertiveness

  • 🤖 AI advancements have already made text-to-image, text-to-video, speech-to-image, and even automated PowerPoint creation a reality. But what about 4D dynamic worlds? Elijah Kleinsmith has shared an incredible update to close out 2024, prompting us to reflect: what groundbreaking innovations could AI bring in 2025? Don’t miss this exciting news! What are your thoughts on the AI breakthroughs to come? 💭 #AIInnovation #FutureOfTech #4DDynamicWorlds

Yesterday, the most insane A.I. update of 2024 was released... and it wasn't by OpenAI. In fact, it's entirely open source. Let me explain. You've heard of text-to-image generators (e.g. Midjourney), maybe even text-to-video generators (e.g. Runway, Sora), but Genesis has released text-to-4D. 4D dynamical worlds—physics generators—will make the next few years feel like centuries in terms of human progress. Here are a couple of ways this will transform our reality in the coming years: 1️⃣ As an advertiser, I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about how this will completely transform video production. A long-standing issue with text-to-video generators is consistency. No more; now, you aren't just generating a video, but an entire world in which you can shoot consistent, never-before-possible shots from any desired angle and scale. You can see this in the video. 2️⃣ As a nerd, I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about how this will completely change the pace at which robotics is able to progress. It delivers a simulation speed ~430,000 faster than in real-time, and takes only 26 seconds to train a robotic locomotion policy transferrable to the real world on a single RTX4090. In layman's terms, embodied AI (intelligent robots) will be able to train in virtual space at an extremely accelerated rate that translates to real-world physics. This technology all but guarantees we'll be living in a future with intelligent robots before this decade is out. It may just be commonplace by 2030.

  • 💭 Is coming back always hard? It depends on how quickly you want things to happen! After the year-end holidays, many of us experience that "back-to-work hangover." 😴 But is this truly due to exhaustion, or could it be more about lacking structure and organization for what needs to be done? Rushing back into work mode might actually sabotage your sense of productivity. After all, speed doesn’t necessarily lead to better outcomes. So, why not take a more thoughtful approach—structuring, organizing, and going step by step? 🛠️ To help you kick off 2025 with purpose and clarity, here are a few tips: 1. Not being in a rush doesn’t mean being slow 🐢🐇 Taking your time to plan and execute doesn’t make you less productive—it makes you more strategic. By focusing on doing things right rather than rushing to tick boxes, you set yourself up for long-term success. Productivity is not about speed; it’s about progress in the right direction. Remember, consistency beats intensity when it comes to sustainable growth. 2. Measure twice, cut once 📝✂️ Taking the time to structure, organize, and reflect before acting can save you a lot of rework later. Think of it as setting a solid foundation before building. Make a checklist, prioritize your tasks, and evaluate the resources you’ll need before jumping in. This approach not only avoids unnecessary mistakes but also helps you tackle tasks with confidence and efficiency. 3. Less comparison, more reality 📱🙅♂️ At the start of the year, social media is flooded with posts about extreme goals and impressive achievements. But remember, not everything is as it seems online. The curated success stories can create undue pressure and self-doubt. Instead, focus on your own realistic goals. Celebrate small wins, acknowledge your unique journey, and remind yourself that progress isn’t a race—it’s deeply personal. How are you planning to structure your start to 2025? Let’s hear your thoughts! 💬✨ #ProductivityTips #NewYearGoals
