Our Summer Carnival & Family Day returned for the second year to Waterview Apartments in Yonkers with face-painting, plenty of games and some impromptu fun in the sprinklers to keep things cool during summer in the city. Our residents enjoyed fare from local legend No Good Burger Truck and soft serve ice cream to sweeten the afternoon. Hosted by our New York office in partnership with Pinnacle City Living, this annual event gives us a chance to meet our residents face-to-face, hear feedback and spend quality time with our property management staff. #affordablehousing #familyday #newyorksummer #bootsontheground

Conifer is delighted to announce the successful close and construction preparation of Park Square II, the second phase of our redevelopment of the Park Square Campus. This week, we launched our newest weekly food pantry for senior residents at Lane Hill Apartments in Yonkers. Nearly half of older New Yorkers have experienced food insecurity, largely due to limited financial resources or being unable to shop for groceries on their own. By making fresh fruit, vegetables and kitchen cabinet staples available at our properties, we hope to take a bite out of senior hunger and help older adults live a happier and more connected life. Please give a warm welcome to the newest member of the Belveron team, Sophya Lim, CPA, who has joined our San Francisco-based Finance & Accounting pros.   In her new role, Sophya will assist with accounting and financial reporting for Belveron’s portfolio of real estate assets. She brings over 10 years of previous accounting experience with a strong background in real estate, hedge funds and partnership taxation. Prior to joining Belveron, Sophya oversaw all financial reporting responsibilities for a private REIT, gaining exposure to a diversified portfolio of real estate assets, with a heavy emphasis in industrial and multifamily properties. Ms. Lim got her start in public accounting and then later worked in hedge funds before pivoting to real estate.   Sophya holds a BS in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is a licensed CPA.
