When a lot has changed it’s important to reasses priorities and how you are applying your energy to drive important outcomes. Time is always the key to manage. Always. Our R&D leadership recently took the afternoon in a local winery to celebrate progress, hitting and exceeding KPIs and have a dialogue around joint learnings. It was energizing. We then considered our evolving environment and named the important shifts. Shifts like feed applications by animal species, broad acre products, multiple RMs, quality traits, yield focus, new traits, herbicide tolerance, … We also discussed “how we work shifts” like new very cool automation and prediction technologies that massively impact what we can now do. Individually we then named the top few near term items we each need to deliver and how we can morph our leadership styles to accelerate speed and improve direction. Yeah it’s always “speed and direction”. It was a great discussion. I loved hearing the reflections and each leader name how they would flex and adapt their leadership styles to help their teams succeed at greater levels and faster. Their individual and nuanced approach to meet people where they are at and grow their teams capability was remarkable. Very insightful. Taking time to get intentional and leverage the joint wisdom of the team to help is also a game changer. I loved seeing the ideas and support flow. Thanks 🙏 #BH3.0.
