🌟 Southern Solidarity Advocacy Grantee Spotlight 🌟 We’re thrilled to celebrate the Arkansas Black Gay Men’s Forum, one of our Southern Solidarity Advocacy grantees, for their impactful Day on the Hill: HIV Advocacy Day at the Arkansas Capitol this past April! This powerful event highlighted essential policy priorities for people living with HIV in Arkansas, addressing HIV criminalization, housing access (HOPWA), and prevention tools like PrEP/PEP and HIV treatment services. Through a working breakfast, educational rally, legislative visits, and a closing reception, community members, advocates, and local lawmakers united to drive meaningful change and amplify the voices of those affected by HIV. Join us in celebrating the Arkansas Black Gay Men’s Forum’s dedication to advancing healthcare and justice for marginalized communities! 🏛️✨ #SouthernSolidarity #HIVAdvocacy #ReentryJustice #CommunityEmpowerment #DayOnTheHill

🌟 Partner Spotlight 🌟 We’re proud to highlight the Men’s Reentry Initiative (MRI), a grantee of the 2023 Southern Solidarity Advocacy Partner grant! MRI’s Advocacy for Change Summit was a transformative event in Columbia, SC, focused on empowering returning citizens and addressing key issues such as voting rights, felony disenfranchisement, reentry, and healthcare access. With a lineup of local advocates, policymakers, and healthcare providers, the summit offered voter registration, HIV testing, and healthcare resources on-site. By tackling the intersection of HIV, incarceration, and recidivism, MRI is creating lasting change in their community, fighting stigma, and ensuring returning citizens have the resources and support they need. Together, we’re breaking down barriers and building a future of equity and justice for all. 💪🏿🗳️ #SouthernSolidarity #ReentryAdvocacy #HIVJustice #CommunityEmpowerment #AdvocacyForChange #BreakingBarriers
