This month our team raised money for local nonprofit, Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan! Through our partnership with FOX 17 : WXMI TV Morning Mix & Michelle Dunaway, our team is helping to raise awareness about the amazing work that RMHCWM does in the community! They support families with children who travel far from home for medical care. In 1965, Berger Chevrolet celebrated its 40th anniversary by opening a new state-of-the-art dealership on a 6 acre site on southeast 28th Street. Founded in 1925 by W.H. Berger, four generations of the Berger family witnessed the expansion of the dealership onto 28th Street. The dealership you see today sits on the same plot of land but has increased from a 6 acre site to a 19 acre site, has a team of over 320 employees, and in 2025 we will celebrate our 100 year anniversary! We’re proud to not only have withstood the test of time, but to have done here in Grand Rapids as a local, family-owned business. Meet our Department 7 Managers! At Berger Chevy, Department 7 refers to our IT, HR, Office, & Marketing Teams. Department 7 employs a mighty 20 team members handling a variety of work, including admin, accounting, marketing, technology, network, and so much more. While many of these employees work behind the scenes, the dealership couldn’t operate at our high capacity without them. From service and collision repair orders to parts invoices and vehicles sales, Department 7 has their hands in the processes of everything we do. These managers are Team Berger to their core. Another successful employee luncheon! 🎉 This month our employees raised money for local nonprofit, Hope for Single Moms! 💙 Hope for Single Moms is dedicated to helping children thrive by providing single mom families with the resources and opportunities to achieve economic independence. The program focuses on single parents who are full-time students in college or trade school and aid them in achieving the education that will help provide for their family. We’ve been blessed to be part of the car buying process for a few of the moms who have gone through the program!
