BSNC is pleased to announce two shareholder promotions: Lucille Sands is being promoted to Senior Vice President of Regional and Shareholder Services and Haven Harris is being promoted to Senior Vice President of Growth and Strategy. Sands has been employed by BSNC for many years, and has worked across many departments, which enhances her ability to assist management in meeting our commitment to shareholders and descendants. Sands previously served as Vice President of Shareholder Development. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from Western Governor’s University, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Minor in Alaska Native Business Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage and an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Sands was appointed by Governor Dunleavy to the State of Alaska Workforce Investment Board. She spent her childhood in Teller and Nome before moving to Anchorage and is an enrolled member of the Native Village of Teller. Harris first began working for BSNC in 2008. He has 16 years of government contracting and business development experience. Prior to rejoining BSNC in 2021, Harris served as Vice President of Business Development for St. George Tanaq Corporation. He formerly served on the boards of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation and Sitnasuak Native Corporation and currently serves on the Boards of the Alaska Native Heritage Center and the Alaska Community Foundation. Harris earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Harris was born and raised in Nome and is an enrolled tribal member of the Nome Eskimo Community.
