“We see electric aviation technology as transcending one single mission set.” Kyle Clark, BETA’s Founder and CEO ALIA is designed with versatility in mind. One platform with a huge amount of capability and flexibility. A workhorse that can carry out all types of missions: cargo, medical, military, and passenger. We’ve been hard at work designing our passenger configuration while we advance through certification with our cargo design. https://lnkd.in/e2ADGMFE

About us
BETA Technologies is creating an electric transportation ecosystem that’s safe, reliable and sustainable. A relentlessly focused team is building an extensive charging infrastructure and ALIA, the world’s most technologically advanced electric vertical aircraft (EVA). BETA’s platform and products are strikingly simple. Prioritization of safety and a pragmatic approach to certification drive elegant redundancy, appropriate diversity of implementation and simplicity of control. ALIA’s fixed-pitch propellers and centrally located batteries make it an inherently stable aircraft that is safe to fly and easy to maneuver.

This week, we celebrated the commissioning of three more charging stations in Florida. Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Crestview join a growing network of chargers across the U.S. This mini network in Florida marks another step toward creating access to ecommerce, healthcare, and passenger transport. Thank you to Florida Department of Transportation, Tallahassee International Airport, Representative Douglas Bankson, Mayor John Dailey, City of Tallahassee, Gainesville Regional Airport, Bob Sikes Airport, United Therapeutics Corporation and Million Air for the partnership!

“The past few years have highlighted just how critical reliable and sustainable medical transport and emergency preparedness are. HHS and ASPR are on the front lines of these issues and we’re excited to be working with them on meaningful, capital-efficient solutions that benefit the public. We believe this work has the potential to increase access to healthcare and essential services for all types of geographies, including the historically harder-to-reach ones.” – Kyle Clark, BETA’s Founder and CEO

Earlier this month United Therapeutics Corporation and Unither joined us in Vermont for the first-ever customer review of our ALIA Pilot Training program. The teams completed the curriculum from foundational academics to normal and emergency procedures, and operational employment of the aircraft. This was a big step toward finalizing a training product for the ALIA CTOL as we prepare to deliver initial aircraft to our customers. We’re honored to continue doing the work alongside UT.

Michigan is a longtime leader in transforming mobility, and with the state’s recent investment in AAM readiness, it’s proving why. BETA is honored to be one of the recipients of this funding, and are ready to get to work building our chargers across the state. ALIA is back home after a quick summer road trip! Over the past month, we’ve executed evaluative deployments with two Major Commands of the United States Air Force – the Air Combat Command and the Air Mobility Command – carrying out real-time missions such as critical resupply, cargo delivery, medical evacuation simulations, and asset relocation. Huge thanks to the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena, Michigan; the Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware; the McGuire Air Force Base in Burlington County, New Jersey; and AFWERX for their support and partnership.

Great news for the industry today from Archer and Signature Aviation. We're glad to deepen ties with two of our partners as we all work to grow the charge network and get ready for operations.
INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION | We're excited to announce our infrastructure deal with Signature Aviation, which is intended to provide us access to the world's largest network of over 200 airports. Here are the main takeaways: ✈️ The agreement identifies initial opportunities to launch air taxi services in key airports globally, including United Airlines hubs at Newark International and Chicago O’Hare Airports, as early as the end of 2025 🌎 Archer and Signature plan to electrify Signature’s industry-leading network of private aviation terminals, which could give Archer access to over 200 takeoff and landing sites across the U.S. and globally, including NY, LA, the SF Bay Area, and Texas 🔋 Archer and Signature plan to install BETA TECHNOLOGIES’s rapid charging systems which uses the standard endorsed by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) https://lnkd.in/gp4UQ_4y

Thanks to all those in Congress who worked to pass the bipartisan Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization bill today. This legislation reauthorizes the FAA and includes provisions that will advance the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry and enable investments in infrastructure that will help bring low-cost electric aviation to communities around the country!
