We hosted another successful BETA blood drive at our Lincoln office yesterday! Because of our generous donors, we collected enough blood to save up to 24 individuals. A big thanks to the Rhode Island Blood Center for the important work they do in our communities every day.

We want your input ❗ DEM is hosting a second public workshop for the Brenton Point State Park Master Plan project on Wednesday, September 18. Join us to learn about the project, provide feedback, and share your experiences with the park 🌳 🌊 !        DEM is working with vendor, BETA Group, Inc., to develop a Master Plan that reimagines the future of Brenton Point State Park. The work will include plans to protect and engage historic and natural resources to support the use of the park by future generations. 📢 Funding Alert! 📢 The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) is encouraging eligible parties to apply for the Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program (OSWA) and the Urban Green Community Garden Program (UGCG). These grant programs are accepting applications through December 2nd. Following our success at City Pier in Fall River, our team is excited to continue working with the Fall River Redevelopment Authority at the waterfront site next door, now known as Northfield Point. BETA has been brought on board to help the City further expand public access to the Taunton River with amenities such as fishing piers and boat moorings. August is National Wellness Month! BETA is proud to have a Health & Wellness Committee dedicated entirely to promoting and implementing initiatives that improve the health and well-being of our employees. The Committee regularly plans fitness challenges, promotes 5Ks and other local fundraisers, and shares resources offered by our health providers regarding mental wellbeing. Work is well underway on our Farmington Avenue project in Hartford, CT! Our team was contracted by the City to implement Complete Streets improvements that address safety and traffic flow concerns in the area as well as provide for improved pedestrian and bicycle accessibility. BETA has been providing construction inspection services and administration (and personal crossing guard services!) for two years.

We’re thrilled to welcome David Lane to the BETA team! Dave joins us as a Senior Client Manager, bringing 30 years of experience in public works management. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening client relationships, driving business growth, and supporting our municipal and agency clients across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. With his extensive background in public works, Dave has overseen major capital improvement projects, managed divisions, and led initiatives in water treatment, renewable energy, pavement management, and long-term infrastructure planning.
