Beyond Business

Considering worldly successes and accomplishments, this verse can seem untrue. So many great products are created, and ideas accomplished by people not attached to the vine, Jesus. Many somethings are happening. However, upon considering this, the somethings are not the point. It is the fruit. By God’s grace, each one is given talent and gifts to use for the flourishing of our world. People use their talents in many ways, but what is the fruit? Many times, the fruit of unattached (to the vine) accomplishment is anxiety, loneliness/isolation, anger, or toilsome sweat-of-the-brow. The fruit Jesus offers as we remain in him is peace, joy, hope, love, and faith. As you consider your accomplishments, what is the fruit produced along the way?
