We 💛 sharing the stories of the diabetes community. And our Co-Founder, Nick Jonas, does too! "I was diagnosed with T1D in 1986...and then in 1999 I got my first insulin pump and this was a game changer in my life. I could live again, without thinking about my illness. And now with my hybrid closed-loop system, it feels like, I was given a new life. I can enjoy life and live it to the fullest without worrying." - Ines Miškić Want to share your story? ✏ Click here: https://bit.ly/3zmD9JI

🏁 🏎️ Pit Stop for Health at Atlanta Motor Speedway was a huge success! A heartfelt thank you to our incredible diabetes community, volunteers, Atlanta's leading healthcare providers, dynamic panelists, on-site talent, and our amazing partners for making this event unforgettable. Special shoutout to Charlotte Drury, Reneé Rayles, Keiva Cheney, Dr. David Robertson, Joseph West, SCD, Antoine Gibson, and Emily Alfredo for joining us. And a big thanks to our featured guest, Anthony Alfredo, who took our mission to the track, sporting Beyond Type 1 branding on his racecar to raise awareness for early type 1 diabetes screening! We're proud to share that 88% of attendees were screened for type 1 diabetes, thanks to the support of Enable Biosciences! Even more inspiring, 100% of survey respondents said they'd encourage their families to get screened. With 80% of people diagnosed with type 1 diabetes having no family history, raising awareness and getting screened is more critical than ever. This is just the beginning—stay tuned for upcoming screening events and opportunities to get involved as a volunteer or attendee! A huge thank you to our partners Enable Biosciences, Med Learning Group, Diabetes Association of Atlanta, and National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) for making this possible. We couldn't do it without you. Follow us on Eventbrite to stay updated on future events! 💛 🖤

"After 2 weeks in hospital and learning how to manage to my diabetes I was discharged, the time in hospital is a time I will never forget...Although this all happened 13 years ago I still struggle daily with the impacts diabetes has on me, like my mental health, social life and confidence. I will always be thankful for celebrities and influencers spreading awareness about diabetes and making it more well known in this world." - Emma Smith Nick wants to meet his #T1D fans!
