  • If you don’t schedule your day right, you’re setting yourself up for failure. I’ve come to realize that managing my time is more than just a productivity hack—it’s a commitment to myself and my goals. Without a well-structured plan, it’s easy to get overwhelmed, lose focus, or end up spending valuable time on low-priority tasks. Here are a few steps I’ve found helpful in creating an effective daily schedule: 1️⃣Set priorities: Identify the top 3 tasks that absolutely need to be accomplished. 2️⃣Time block: Allocate specific hours for each task, including breaks, to maintain momentum. 3️⃣Limit distractions: Create a routine that minimizes interruptions and allows you to stay focused. 4️⃣Review and adjust: At the end of the day, evaluate what worked and what didn’t. It’s all about continuous improvement. When your day is well-planned, you feel more in control, and even the busiest schedules can seem manageable. How do you keep your day on track? Share your tips in the comments! #TimeManagement #BeyondBorders #africanprofessionals #blackcommunity #Productivity #GoalSetting #CareerGrowth #ContinuousImprovement

What an inspiring day at the #FORWARDNYC2024 Conference, powered by Beyond Borders Network (BBN), founded by Elizabeth Laiza Kalu The panels featured incredible insights from thought leaders such as Her Excellency Chioma Deborah Uzodimma, the First Lady of Imo State; Josh Ghaim, Ph.D. Chairman of the Board of Directors at African Diaspora Network; Tunde Onakoya, Guinness World Records holder and Founder of Chess in Slums Africa; Chioma Ogbudimkpa. PMP, Director/CEO of Red Button; Daniel Marughu Founder/CEO of AfroPro; and Uloma Ogba , Lead Gender Specialist for Migration and Remittance at UNCDF. The event was brilliantly moderated by Ugochi Obidiegwu , who led discussions on the power of storytelling, building purposeful careers, and redefining success. 💡 Key Takeaways: • Tell Your Story: Our narratives are powerful! It’s crucial to own them and build platforms that amplify diverse voices and perspectives. • Leverage Your Uniqueness: Success comes from embracing what makes you unique and using it to drive impact. • Redefining Success: It’s not just about tangible results. Success can mean seeing change through intangible outcomes and understanding that it’s a continuous journey with no defined endpoint. A huge thank you to the speakers and Elizabeth Laiza Kalu, founder of Beyond Borders Network (BBN), and Oyinkansola Babayode, MD, President of NYU African Graduate Student Association (AGSA) for making this event possible! Looking forward to seeing even more stories unfold and platforms built from this! 🙌
