    On Wednesday, October 16th, Stanford Center for Innovation and Design Research (SCIDR) is hosting a series of events as part of the Consumer Innovation Week. ALIVE Ventures led the round with the additional participation of Desert Bloom, Connecticut Innovations, and other angel investors. A previous bridge round was anchored by One Small Planet through its endowment, the Peterffy Foundation, Kachuwa Impact Fund, and Generation-Re, a Regenerative Agriculture Investment Syndicate.     Exciting News! Cynthia Tice, founder of Lily's Sweets shared her incredible journey on one of the most widely listened-to business programs in the U.S. How I Built This with Guy Raz.   Cynthia’s journey has always been an inspiring one from when she first entered the Natural Products industry to the acquisition of Lily’s Chocolates by the The Hershey Company. To Cynthia, it has always been about more than just business—it was about *Right Livelihood*, a Buddhist concept that inspired her to do work she loves, make a living, and benefit people and the planet. 🌍 A true win-win.   That sense of purpose stayed with her throughout her career. Over the years, as she reinvented herself, two things have remained constant: the Natural Products Industry and entrepreneurship as an art form—a way to express herself and drive meaningful impact.
