This week our student Mikayla (and mom), Brittany Raji Alberty and I sat down and talked with Princess Stormm from HOT 104.1 about all things Black Girls Do STEM and our upcoming Afternoon in STEM showcase taking place tomorrow in community! It was such a great interview and Mikayla corrected me she started back in 2019 as a 6th grader and is now in 11th. I have 10,000 dates, names and things in my head constantly but her exactness and ability to talk about what being apart of the programs has done for her and helped her realize about herself and who she is set to become in her future was inspiring!
