About us
BHC Consultants, LLC (BHC) is an employee owned and managed consulting, engineering, building code and construction compliance, and planning firm with offices in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington comprised of over 80 engineers, compliance inspectors, planners, and support personnel. Our civil, structural, and electrical engineering staff is one of the most experienced in municipal utility design and construction in the Northwest. We are very adept at providing efficient design and study services on small as well as large, complex projects. Most of our personnel have worked together in the Northwest for years and have collectively solved some of the more intriguing design and construction challenges found in the region.

We would like to recognize and congratulate Shane Daugherty for his recent accomplishment of becoming an ICC Certified Building Official (CBO)! The CBO certification is comprised of three (3) separate testing influence areas – Legal, Management, and Building Codes & Standards – all related to building department operations. This exam series utilizes 15 different code volumes and resources that one needs to have a firm grasp on to be successful in completion. This is a career milestone and requires a significant investment of time and many years of service to obtain the base knowledge to achieve this. Congratulations Shane, well done!
