The term ‘platform company’ is heavily used in VC, but what does it mean when we say that Bifrost Studios is a platform for startup studios? In our view, a startup studio needs two things: 1. A company creation process that takes the right ideas to market through a structured stage-gate model 2. Functional processes that make it possible to operate the studio and the ideas as they turn into full-fledged companies We are trying to solve for both with a platform approach, that entails both a blueprint company creation process and blueprint functional processes that can be upgraded to fit a specific vertical.
